Boston Police stops violent plot at the Pokemon World Championships

The Boston Police Department has arrested 18-year-old Kevin Norton and 27-year-old James Stumbo on Friday suspected of plotting a shooting at the Pokemon World Championships held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston Massachusetts holding two events one was the Pokemon Trading card game tournament and the First Pokken tournament in the US.The Boston Police were called in because of the social media threat's that were happening on Thursday, the Police were able to stop the two suspects as they were attempting to enter the event luckily no one was hurt Police found in their  12-gauge shotgun, an AR-15, several hundred rounds of ammunition and a hunting knife in their vehicle.


In a statement, Pokemon Company International said this:

"Prior to the event this weekend, our community of players made us aware of a security issue. We gathered information and gave it as soon as possible to the authorities at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center who acted swiftly and spearheaded communication with the Boston Police Department. Due to quick action, the potential threat was resolved. The Pokemon Company International takes the safety of our fans seriously and will continue to ensure proper security measures are a priority."
