Ducati - 90th Anniversary Screams Onto Shelves

Publisher Square Enix and long-standing racing developer Milestone S.r.l. have announced the release of Ducati - 90th Anniversary for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. Based off of Milestone's 2015 racer RIDE, the game is being pushed as a celebration of all things Ducati, and is the latest offering from the motorcycle-happy developer. A press release courtesy of Square Enix gives the following details:

As an incredible spin off to Milestone’s successful motorcycle simulator RIDE, players will immerse themselves through several event challenges spanning across Ducati’s most important and historical events. Ducati – 90th Anniversary boasts extensive content including bikes of various eras such as the classic 125 Desmo (1958), the 500 Panteh (1970), the highly exclusive 1199 Panigale Superleggra (2014) and the high performance Monster S4RS Tricolore, among others. Players can take these bikes into the Ducati World Tour or compete online and challenge 11 other racers to be the best rider in the world.

The game features thirteen tracks in total, eight of which are "faithfully reproduced" racetracks from around the world, including Road America and Donington Park. Road tracks are also available, with Sierra Nevada and French Riviera among them. A interactive Ducati museum is also touted as a feature, and will allow rev-heads to delve into the technical side of Ducati's 90-year history.

Milestone S.r.l. is an Italian-based developer that has been active since 1996. Their output has been almost exclusively comprised of racing games, and over the years they have managed to acquire the rights to multiple motorsport brandings, including MotoGP and World Rally Championship. Ducati - 90th Anniversary appears to be part of a recent trend of more specific brandings, coming after Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo and Valentino Rossi The Game. The studio has also recently announced that RIDE 2 is currently in development, and is scheduled for release later this year.
