Guide: How to Survive May 29th Amiibopocalypse

This May 29th, along with Splatoon, Nintendo is going to release 12 Amiibo for Smash Brothers, Mario Party 10, and Splatoon! With people rapidly refreshing an Amazon page and planning to camp out at Target, one wrong move can break an Amiibo hunt. Because of this. I've decided to compile a guide for fellow collectors to help develop a game plan for the big Wave 4 launch.

In this guide, I will list all Wave 4 Amiibo, along with your chances of purchasing them in store and a summary of the Amiibo's rarity. The scale I will use will be:

*Easy to Find: *The title explains itself. This Amiibo will be common and you should be able to come across them almost anywhere.

*Get In Line: *Pretty Common, But Will Require some work on your end to find.

Get Lucky: This Amiibo is going to be rare. Get in line early and hope for the best.

Don't Even Try: This Amiibo will be impossible to find. Get ready to import.

Now that we have everything set, let's begin!

SILVER MARIO (SUPER MARIO SERIES)

Special Edition SIlver Mario

Walmart: Easy to Find

Target: Easy to Find

Toys R Us: Easy to Find

GameStop: Get In Line

Silver Mario, despite its artificial rarity, will be pretty easy to find. Just be sure to look for him!

INKLING BOY (SPLATOON SERIES)

Splatoon Boy

Walmart: Get In Line

Target: Get In Line

Toys R Us: Get In Line

GameStop: Get Lucky

The Inkling Boy will be pretty common because of the Splatoon 3 Pack, but separately may be a bit harder to find.

INKLING GIRL (SPLATOON SERIES)

Splatoon Girl

Walmart: Get In Line

Target: Get In Line

Toys R Us: Get In Line

GameStop: Get Lucky

Expect a similar experience finding the Inkling Boy with the Inkling Girl.

SPLATOON 3 PACK (SPLATOON)

Splatoon Set With Bonus Inkling Figure

Walmart: Get In Line

Target: Get In Line

Toys R Us: Get In Line

GameStop: Get Lucky

Despite them having the same ranking, I expect the Splatoon 3 Pack to be a bit more common than the separate Inkling Boy and Girl.

NESS (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS SERIES)

Ness

Walmart: N/A

Target: N/A

Toys R Us: N/A

GameStop: Don't Even Try

GameStop sold almost all of their stock in preorders, so unless you are first in line do not expect to get Ness.

JIGGLYPUFF (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS SERIES)

Jigglypuff

Walmart: N/A

Target: Get In Line

Toys R Us: N/A

GameStop: N/A

Jigglypuff will likely not be hard to get if you line up for it at your local Target early, since reports state stores will be getting about 30 each.

GRENINJA (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS SERIES)

Greninja

Walmart: N/A

Target: N/A

Toys R Us: Get In Line

GameStop: N/A

Greninja is getting an unprecedented stock order by Toys R Us, almost confirming anyone who gets in line before opening will be getting a Greninja.

ROBIN (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS SERIES)

Robin

Walmart: Don't Even Try

Target: Get Lucky

Toys R Us: Get Lucky

GameStop: Don't Even Try

Expect Robin to be incredibly rare, with rumors surfacing that Walmart may not even stock Robin and Lucina, while GameStops will be getting one of each.

LUCINA (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS SERIES)

Lucina

Walmart: Don't Even Try

Target: Get Lucky

Toys R Us: Get Lucky

GameStop: Don't Even Try

Same low stock problems of Robin apply to Lucina. Amazon will most likely be your only hope to get these two.

CHARIZARD (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS)

Charizard

Walmart: Get In Line

Target: Get In Line

Toys R Us: Get In Line

GameStop: Get Lucky

Charizard will most likely end up being one of the more common Amiibo this wave, so you shouldn't have as much trouble getting him as Robin and Lucina.

WARIO (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS SERIES)

Wario

Walmart: Get In Line

Target: Get In Line

Toys R Us: Get In Line

GameStop: Get Lucky

Wario is most likely going to be the second most common amiibo this wave, so you shouldn't worry too much about tracking him.

PAC-MAN (SUPER SMASH BROTHERS)
Pac-Man

Walmart: Easy to Find

Target: Easy to Find

Toys R Us: Easy to Find

GameStop: Get In Line

Pac-Man is going to be the most common amiibo this wave by far, so he should be incredibly easy to find.

Now that you have an idea of the rarity of the Amiibo you want, be sure to plan everything out and hope for the best!
