E3 2016: Skyrim Remaster Announced Titled Skyrim Special Edition

Todd Howard of Bethesda fame announced at their E3 presentation that Skyrim will be receiving a remaster for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Bringing with it new, updated visuals including volumetric god rays, new water shaders and improved sound effects. The biggest take away from the new Skyrim remaster is that the console versions of this game will definitely support community created mods. The mods will come with their own rating system that users can give feedback on.

After the immense and even continued success of Elder Scrolls Skyrim, the remaster comes to breathe life back into the already 5 year old game. Skyrim fans will most definitely be happy with this news. Along with this news, Bethesda announced that Skyrim owners that own all of the game's DLC on PC will get the upgraded edition of the game to play for free.
