EA and DICE have finally lifted the curtain on one of the most anticipated games of 2015, Star Wars Battlefront, at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim today.
The team announced the game will release on November 17, 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. To put to rest rumors of the game being a reskin of their popular Battlefield series, DICE showed Battlefront's many differences.
The game will not have a campaign, instead opting for Co-Op missions. Also, a match's size will be much smaller, opting for 20v20 battles over Battlefield's 32v32 battles.
The game will feature many classic locations from the Star Wars films, including Tatooine, Endor, Hoth, and Sullust. The game will also allow players to control famous Star Wars characters like Darth Vader and Bobba Fett, along with the ability to fly the Millennium Falcon from the original trilogy.
Also, DICE has revealed that the game will have free DLC, titled The Battle of Jakku. The Battle of Jakku takes place a year after the events of Return of the Jedi and focuses on a major location in the upcoming The Force Awakens. The DLC will be available to all who own the game on December 8th, but will become available to people who pre-ordered the game a week earlier on December 1st.
