Can we please just give Detective Pikachu a break? Obviously not, as there is another Pokémon Go related case, just days after launch. This time, three teens in the O'Fallon, MO have been caught and charged with theft. What makes this case different, however, is the fact that they used Pokémon Go to lure targets to their location. Using the game's lure modules, which increase Pokémon spawn count around a Pokéstop for thirty minutes, they got other players to head to the location expecting items and new catches. Instead, they got robbed. The three that are accused of the crime are named Shane Backer, Brett Miller, and Jamine Warner, and are all between the ages of 17 and 18. They are currently being charged with First-Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action, and currently have a one hundred thousand dollar bond.
Just two days ago, a dead body was discovered because of Pokémon Go.
